This holiday season I watched a lot of movies with my sister and by myself. These were:
- The good dinosaur - I saw it first in the theatre and now with my sister
- The Martian
- Coherence
- Everest
- Documentary about Edward Snowden
- Home
- Mad Max road of fury
- The One I love
By myself I watched:
- Pátio das Cantigas - remake
- Hungry games - Catching fire
I really enjoyed The Good Dinosaur. The story is great. The human behaves like the dinosaur's pet and it is really lovely. So I didn't mind watching it again.
The Martian stars Matt Damon. He is left in Mars and he starts growing his own food. It's a nice movie, but science fiction for now.
Coherence is a strange movie. A group of friends has dinner at home of one of them and suddenly they are interrupted by strange noises. When they leave the house to figure out what is going on they return to different universes of that same house.
Everest is about the mountain climb that took place in 1996. Several people died and the saddest thing is that their bodies remain there. I didn't know how difficult it was to reach the top of the mountain. After watching the movie I don't think I will try it...
Home is an animation with an alien called Oh. His species invades Earth and moves all humans to Australia. A little girl is searching for her mother and Oh helps her. It is funny, but Oh reminds me too much of Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory. His voice is from Jim Parsons, one of the main characters of that sitcom.
Mad Max is a movie from the creative mind of George Miller. It sets in a completely different universe. Charlize Thereon is a dissident that drives a truck with women that want to be free. Tom Hardy is a blood bag, a prisoner that is kept alive for blood transfusions. Their paths cross at some point. An action movie full of visual effects.
Finally, The One I loved is about a couple that consults a therapist and goes to a house to try to solve their issues. This is a very special place where people resembling them live.
